How to Use This YouTube Thumbnail Downloader

Click Download next to any thumbnail to save it. The tool extracts the video ID from the URL and uses YouTube's public thumbnail image URLs.
Available Thumbnail Sizes
YouTube provides thumbnails in five sizes: Default (120x90), Medium Quality (320x180), High Quality (480x360), Standard Definition (640x480), and Maximum Resolution (1280x720). Note that Max Resolution thumbnails may not be available for all videos.

Why is the Max Resolution thumbnail a gray image?
Not all YouTube videos have a max resolution thumbnail. If the video was uploaded before YouTube supported HD thumbnails, or if no custom thumbnail was set, the maxresdefault image may not exist.
